RALP

Resilient Agriculture Landscape Program: Carbon Sequestration and Grassland Resilience

  • Objective:  Increase and maintain on-farm land use and management practices known to maximize provision of multiple ecological goods and services (EGS).

  • Proponent: Province of Manitoba (MB Agriculture) through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (SCAP) Agreement

  • Delivery agent: Manitoba Agriculture

  • Who’s eligible: Primary producers outside of WDs, Association of Manitoba Community Pastures, Ag Crown Lands forage lease holders, Indigenous primary producers and communities

  • $ value and term of program:  Funding available 2023-2028

  • BMP areas: Agroforestry and Grasslands & Grazing Management

  • Environmental farm plan required upon project completion

SAM

Sustainable Agriculture Manitoba

  • Objective: Increase the environmental and economic sustainability of agriculture operations in Manitoba.

  • Proponent: MB Agriculture through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership Agreement (SCAP)

  • Delivery agent: Manitoba Agriculture

  • Who’s eligible:  primary producers, commercial manure applicators, custom pesticide applicators - apply directly to program

  • BMP areas: 20+ BMPs in the areas of management of Croplands, Livestock & Manure, and Water. Note: Water Supply BMP funds water source development projects.

  • $ value and term of program:  Funding available 2023-2028

  • Environmental Farm Plan required upon project completion
